Importância do autoconhecimento e autogestão das doenças crônicas nos pacientes da Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS)

Resumo

Introdução: As doenças crônicas não transmissíveis são um problema de saúde pública global que revelam fatores de risco nas pessoas e famílias que desenvolvem essas morbidades. O objetivo foi avaliar a efetividade do automanejo do Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2, da Hipertensão Arterial e das Dislipidemias na APS, e identificar as melhores práticas e recomendações que contribuam para melhorar a saúde da população. O método utilizado foi a modalidade de ensaio, que teve início com uma busca direcionada de informações nas bases de dados científicas (Elsevier, PubMed e Lilacs), com publicações em inglês, espanhol e português, realizadas em pessoas com 15 anos ou mais, que apresentassem alguma doença crônica em acompanhamento na APS e que tivessem sido expostas a algum processo de educação ou automanejo da sua condição, entre os anos de 2019 e 2023 (inclusive). Desenvolvimento: Existe ampla evidência relacionada à Hipertensão Arterial, Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 e Dislipidemias na Atenção Primária à Saúde, que contextualiza essas doenças com determinantes sociais, fatores de risco e de proteção, aspectos culturais, educacionais e assistenciais que influenciam seu manejo e controle. Conclusões: O automanejo e o autocontrole dessas doenças são fundamentais para conter as prevalências atuais, sendo que a população em geral e os sistemas de saúde da Atenção Primária desempenham um papel central na prevenção e no controle dessas comorbidades.
