Reviewers review process
- Articles must be submitted through the OJS platform from the "Article Submission" option. Once received, they will be evaluated by the editorial team to verify their relevance with the topics, requirements and regulations of the Journal. The result of this first evaluation will be communicated to the authors.
- If the article meets the aforementioned requirements, it will be sent to two evaluators applying the double blind review system, who will have a maximum period of 14 weeks to respond to the request.
- The evaluations will be carried out taking into account the publication standards for authors, content and formal criteria for all scientific publications, and the particulars of the Journal.
- The result of the evaluation will be informed to the author(s), indicating the approval of the article for publication, together with the corresponding observations and a period of 4 weeks to make corrections, - if necessary. In case of rejection, this will also be indicated in a timely manner with the reasons for this decision.
- If there are discrepancies between the two evaluations of the reviewers, the editorial team will request one or more additional evaluations to define the possible publication, however, any publication will be the exclusive and unappealable competence of the editorial team.
- The author must send, within the indicated deadline, the corrected version of the article for the new evaluation and, with it, the decision of publication.
- All articles approved for publication will be subjected to style adjustment to comply with the editorial standards (scientific writing, citation and reference style, edition of tables and figures, layout, etc.).
- Articles accepted for publication must comply with: 1) Peer approval 2) Linkage with the focus and subject matter of the Journal 3) Originality of the article's topic.
- The submission of articles to the Revista Chilena de Atención Primaria y Salud Familiar will be understood that the authors know and subscribe to its copyright conditions.
- The complete evaluation process of an article submitted to the Revista Chilena de Atención Primaria y Salud Familiar can take between 4 and 24 weeks, from its reception to the evaluation and publication decision. All in all, the average number of weeks of publication committed by the Journal is 14 weeks.
Publication charges:
The Journal does not charge for the review and publication of scientific articles that are approved by its Editorial Committee.
